Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum

The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum is situated in the heart of Old Town Key West and was once home to the world-famous author and Nobel Prize winner, who lived and wrote here for over a decade. A definite must-visit for literature lovers.

Take a guided tour of the rooms and lush gardens, where more than forty six-toed cats live - descendents of Hemingway’s own cats. Afterwards, stop at the bookstore and gift shop to pick out a souvenir.

In terms of nature experiences, the Florida Keys certainly won’t disappoint. But for one of the most obscure, you’ll have to head to Big Pine Key, where the National Key Deer Refuge is situated. Only found in the lower Florida Keys, these endangered deer grow to no more than 32 inches tall.

The nature preserve protects over 400,000 acres of wildlife and welcomes visitors to discover its treasures whether by bike, on foot, or even whilst kayaking.
