Jardín Botánico Canario

The Gran Canaria Botanical Gardens, or Jardín Botánico Canario Viera y Clavijo as they are officially known, are located in Tafira Alta in the northeast of Gran Canaria. At a sprawling 27 hectares, these gardens are the largest in Spain, and their rich plantlife is certainly something to be admired for green thumbed visitors. The gardens protect over 500 species of native plants, plus plenty of exotic species.
