Things to do

Angelokastro Castle

Angelokastro Castle

Otherwise known as ‘Angel Castle’, Aggelokastro can be found near Krini, towering over the ocean with a history of serving as a lookout for pirates and crusaders. The castle is believed to date back to the 13th century and can be recognised by its distinctively arched entrance gate. Be prepared for a steep walk up to the castle itself, but visitors who make it to the top will be rewarded by incredible views and Byzantine ruins.

No trip to Corfu would be complete without discovering the UNESCO World Heritage Site that is the Old Town. With the stunning architecture you’d expect, including stone-built houses, sunlit plazas, and narrow, winding streets, there is plenty for you to fall in love with. Stop for a long lunch with local wine, or even discover the museums and fortresses here.

Kassiopi Wine Festival

Kassiopi Wine Festival

Wine lovers should not pass up the opportunity to visit the charming village of Kassiopi whilst the wine festival is on. The celebrations are held at the harbour every year in September and they attract a good mixture of locals and tourists. Of course there is plenty of wine from the island, but also delicious food and fantastic live music. After a few glasses you may even be tempted to join in with some Greek dancing.
